He urged Assembly members to support the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam (Amendment) Bill, citing examples of inspiring women like Rani Lakshmi Bai and Kalpana Chawla.

He emphasized the importance of empowering women for societal and national development, stating that their success uplifts families and contributes to overall growth. Referring to the Women’s Reservation Bill, he underscored the significance of ensuring meaningful participation of women in policymaking processes.
The Chief Minister criticized the Opposition parties for obstructing the Women’s Reservation Bill, accusing them of celebrating its defeat. Drawing parallels from historical epics like Mahabharat and Ramayan, Dhami likened the Opposition’s actions to disrespecting Nari Shakti. He questioned the Opposition’s resistance to increasing women’s representation through delimitation, highlighting their alleged misleading stance on women’s reservation issues.
