After clinching the ITF W35 Kalaburagi title, Vaishnavi Adkar, following a notable performance in Karnataka, acknowledged the influence of Grand Slam champion Rohan Bopanna on her game. Adkar also appreciated the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) for granting her a wildcard entry at the ITF Women’s Open W100 Bengaluru 2026. This opportunity led her to become the first Indian woman to reach the final of a W100 or higher-level tournament since 2009, boosting her ranking significantly.
Named to India’s team for the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup Asia-Oceania tournament, Adkar expressed excitement about representing her country in a team event. She highlighted the importance of contributing to the team and eagerly anticipated the upcoming competition.
