India’s U19 squad, led by Ayush Mhatre, is missing key players like Vihaan Malhotra due to wrist injuries during the South Africa tour but is expected to have them back for the World Cup campaign. The team is scheduled to begin their U19 World Cup journey against USA in Bulawayo, followed by matches against New Zealand and Bangladesh in the group stage. India holds a remarkable record in the Men’s U19 World Cup, having clinched the title five times, making them a formidable force in the competition.
The 16th edition of the 2026 Men’s Under-19 World Cup will witness 16 teams divided into four groups, with each team playing against the other three in the initial round. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, leading to the semi-finals scheduled for February 3 and 4 in Bulawayo and Harare. The ultimate showdown, the final, is set to take place at the Harare Sports Club on February 6.
