Varun Chakaravarthy led Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowling attack, limiting Sunrisers Hyderabad to 165 runs in 19 overs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Despite a strong start by SRH openers, KKR’s bowlers, including Chakaravarthy, contained the opposition.

Sunrisers Hyderabad opted to bat first and began aggressively with Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head setting the tone. However, KKR’s bowlers gradually gained control, with key breakthroughs slowing down SRH’s scoring rate.

Travis Head’s quickfire 61 off 28 balls was a standout performance for SRH, but Varun Chakaravarthy’s bowling prowess, supported by Karthik Tyagi and Sunil Narine, restricted SRH effectively. The collective effort from KKR’s bowlers ensured a challenging target for the upcoming chase.
