VCK leader and MP from Chidambaram, V. Thirumavalavan, supported the Congress party’s request for a government share if the DMK alliance wins the upcoming Tamil Nadu polls. Thirumavalavan explained that such negotiations are common in coalition politics during elections.
He highlighted that it is normal for allies to discuss power-sharing, and the Congress’ request is part of this process. Thirumavalavan emphasized that these discussions do not pose a threat to the alliance’s stability.
Thirumavalavan backed Congress’ right to seek a share in power, citing their longstanding partnership with the DMK. He stressed the importance of dialogue in resolving such matters and maintaining alliance unity.
Negotiations among alliance members are escalating as the elections draw near. Despite these talks, Thirumavalavan’s statements indicate a concerted effort to uphold unity within the DMK-led front amid ongoing power-sharing deliberations.
