The Ministry of External Affairs shared videos showing locals receiving treatment and thanking India for the medical help. One resident, after receiving care, expressed heartfelt thanks, mentioning the exceptional medical attention received.
Another resident praised the Indian team for establishing the field hospital, describing it as very beneficial for the local community. India initiated ‘Operation Amistad’ to aid Venezuela after twin earthquakes struck the country, resulting in significant casualties and destruction. The assistance from India, including a field hospital unit, relief supplies, and medical equipment, is set to enhance ongoing relief efforts in the earthquake-affected regions.
The Indian Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire outlined the mission’s scope, mentioning the transit of relief materials and medical support through two Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft. The medical contingent, comprising 41 personnel, including medical officers, is equipped to offer emergency medical care, trauma management, and surgical support to those impacted by the earthquakes. This humanitarian effort reflects India’s commitment to providing timely support to friendly nations during crises.
