A vessel with 30 crew members on board reported being under attack near the Strait of Hormuz. An audio recording revealed a US military operator warning the vessel for heading towards Iranian waters. The operator stated that the crew had 15 minutes to clear the engine room before potential action.
In another recording, a vessel named Disha reported being attacked by unknown missiles and requested immediate assistance. The incident occurred near the eastern entrance to the Strait of Hormuz. The region has seen increased tensions, with US forces imposing a naval blockade on vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps recently prevented three oil tankers from passing through the Strait of Hormuz. One of the tankers caught fire after an explosion, prompting the other two to turn back. The IRGC warned that any ship attempting to pass without Iran’s consent would face similar consequences.
