Veteran actress Madhoo recently shared insights on why actresses from the 90s had longer careers compared to present-day actresses. She highlighted that in the past, actresses had the opportunity to grow over time, while today’s newcomers are expected to be fully prepared from the start.
Madhoo pointed out that actresses in the 90s were given time to establish themselves with the audience, unlike the current generation who face the pressure of immediate success or failure after their debut film. She emphasized the importance of evolving and improving continuously in the industry.
Reflecting on her own experience, Madhoo mentioned that during her 9-year career, each movie served as a learning curve for her, allowing her to progress from being average to exceptional. She noted that back then, there was room for improvement and second chances, unlike the current scenario where newcomers are expected to excel right from the beginning.
Madhoo, known for her roles in films like ‘Roja’ (1992) and ‘Gentleman’ (1993), highlighted the evolution of Bollywood careers over time, citing her journey from ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ (1991) to subsequent successful projects.
