Veteran politician K. A. Sengottaiyan dismissed rumors of being sidelined in the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) or considering a move to the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). He labeled these claims as baseless and false, emphasizing his allegiance to TVK president Vijay and the party’s vision. Sengottaiyan highlighted his political journey rooted in the ideologies of Puratchi Thalaivar and Puratchi Thalaivi Amma, crediting Vijay for his support and guidance.

Expressing unwavering faith in Vijay’s leadership, Sengottaiyan reiterated the party’s commitment to seeing Vijay elected as Chief Minister in the 2026 Assembly elections. He criticized irresponsible media reporting for spreading unverified and inaccurate information, condemning such practices that deviate from journalistic ethics. Sengottaiyan’s statement aimed to put an end to speculations surrounding his role within TVK and any potential party switch to the DMK.
