Vice Chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Kuljeet Singh Chahal, spearheaded a large-scale plantation initiative in Gole Market as part of the ‘#EkPedMaaKeNaam OnSunday’ campaign, now in its 32nd week. Chahal, along with local residents, planted saplings at the Central Government Employees RWA, Blocks 49–55, Type-III, Kali Bari Marg, Gole Market.
The campaign aims to engage the public in environmental conservation efforts, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making it a people’s movement. Chahal engaged with RWA office-bearers and residents, addressing civic issues and ensuring timely resolutions under the ‘Good Governance at Your Doorstep’ initiative.
Expressing satisfaction with the growing citizen involvement, Chahal highlighted the success of the ongoing campaign in fostering environmental awareness and action. Apart from weekly drives, NDMC collaborates with universities, embassies, and institutions for larger plantation programs, contributing to a greener and more sustainable New Delhi.
