Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, conveyed their wishes on the 87th Raising Day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). They lauded the CRPF’s courage, sacrifice, and commitment to safeguarding the nation’s internal security. The Vice President commended the CRPF for its professionalism and dedication in upholding the nation’s unity and integrity.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the CRPF for its significant contributions to India’s internal security. He highlighted the force’s victories in combating Naxalism and ensuring peace and progress. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also commended the CRPF for its courage, valor, and sacrifice on their Foundation Day. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath acknowledged the CRPF’s vigilance in maintaining internal security.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was established on July 27, 1939, as the Crown Representative’s Police and later renamed under the CRPF Act in 1949. Functioning under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the CRPF is the largest Central Armed Police Force in India. It plays a crucial role in internal security, counter-insurgency operations, maintaining law and order, and responding to emergencies nationwide.
