Vice President CP Radhakrishnan commended India’s growth and achievements in the last ten years, spanning from poverty reduction to significant infrastructure development and extensive welfare initiatives. He highlighted the country’s strong growth trajectory and potential to become a global leader. Despite global uncertainties, India continues to progress with determination, with notable accomplishments in various sectors benefiting millions, including youth, women, students, and farmers.
His praise extended to inclusive initiatives that have uplifted 25 crore people from extreme poverty, provided piped water to 12 crore individuals, and offered dignity to over 60 crore through the Swachh Bharat campaign. Radhakrishnan also acknowledged government schemes like Garib Kalyan and Ayushman Bharat, impacting 80 crore and 40 crore people respectively. He emphasized India’s rise as a major food producer and the empowerment of women contributing to this growth.
The Vice President highlighted the engineering marvel of the Chenab bridge and extensive road infrastructure projects, attributing these achievements to Prime Minister Modi’s oversight. He commended the government’s firm stance against terrorism and efforts to integrate conflict-affected regions into mainstream development. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he urged citizens to strive towards a developed India, aiming to lead globally by 2047, the centenary of independence.
