Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan criticized Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge for equating Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a “terrorist.” Radhakrishnan, speaking at an event in Karnataka’s Bidar, expressed his view that Kharge seems to blur the line between terrorists and those fighting terrorism. The controversy arose when Kharge referred to PM Modi as a “terrorist” while criticizing a political alliance.
The Vice President, in Kharge’s presence, highlighted his perception of Kharge’s inability to differentiate between various aspects, including terrorists and those combating terrorism. Kharge’s comment about PM Modi being a “terrorist” during a press conference stirred a political storm, with the BJP strongly condemning the statement. The BJP criticized Kharge, emphasizing that such remarks were disrespectful to the nation’s democratic process.
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda joined the criticism, labeling Kharge’s words as a severe insult to the country’s vast population. Nadda condemned the Congress for resorting to personal attacks due to a lack of substantive issues. The Union Minister expressed confidence that the public would respond fittingly to such derogatory language used against the Prime Minister.
