Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan is scheduled for a two-day tour of Puducherry, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu starting Monday. In Puducherry on December 29, he will partake in a civic reception, unveil Mahakavi Bharathiar’s statue, and launch a housing project under the Smart City Mission. Additionally, he will be the Chief Guest at Pondicherry University’s 30th Convocation.
Moving on to Kerala on the same day, Radhakrishnan will attend the Trivandrum Fest 2025. The following day, December 30, he will join the 93rd Sivagiri Pilgrimage at Varkala, Kerala. Moreover, he will inaugurate the public meeting marking the end of Mar Ivanios College’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in Thiruvananthapuram.
Later on December 30, the Vice President will participate as the Chief Guest at the valedictory ceremony of Kashi-Tamil Sangamam 4.0 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. Previously, at a national conclave on Artificial Intelligence, Radhakrishnan emphasized India’s potential in adopting and leading in Artificial Intelligence responsibly.
He stressed the importance of AI serving humanity and adhering to strong ethical values. Radhakrishnan highlighted India’s prominent position in Artificial Intelligence globally, noting its impact on various sectors like healthcare, climate studies, governance, education, finance, and national security.
He urged against undue fear and negativity towards new technologies, drawing parallels with the initial skepticism surrounding computers. Radhakrishnan emphasized the need to leverage technology positively and constructively for societal benefit.
