Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to visit Jaipur on Saturday to participate in the 35th Convocation of the University of Rajasthan and other related events. Additionally, he will be present at the 23rd Cancer Survivors’ Day organized by Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Jaipur.
During the recent sixth convocation ceremony of AIIMS Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, Vice-President Radhakrishnan emphasized the significance of the event as a transition from years of hard work to a greater responsibility towards society and the nation. He encouraged the graduates to approach their professional obligations with dedication and a clear sense of purpose.
Addressing the graduates, the Vice-President stressed the importance of healthcare as a public trust and the crucial role that medical professionals play in the nation’s development. He urged the new professionals to engage in preventive care, rural outreach, research, and innovation, while upholding values such as empathy, integrity, and service.
Reflecting on the global challenges posed by the pandemic, Vice-President Radhakrishnan commended India’s resilience, innovation, and commitment under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted the country’s extensive vaccination campaign, which provided free vaccines to over 140 crore citizens, ensuring equitable healthcare access, particularly in underserved areas.
