Filmmaker-actor Vikram Chatterjee’s production company, Vikram Chatterjee Films, has decided to pull out from the upcoming Bengali series Taarkata due to unexpected creative disagreements. While stepping down as a producer, Chatterjee will remain involved in the series as an actor and fulfill all promotional commitments related to the show.
The announcement was made through an official statement on the Instagram account of Vikram Chatterjee Films, stating the withdrawal from the series Taarkata, set to premiere on Bangla Zee5, because of creative disparities. Chatterjee will no longer serve as a producer, and his production banner will discontinue any involvement with the project.
Despite resigning from the producer’s role, Vikram Chatterjee will stay connected to the project as an actor. He is dedicated to fulfilling his promotional responsibilities for the series as originally planned. The statement requested patience from the audience, partners, and media as they strategize their next moves, promising further updates soon.
The series Taarkata is directed by Samik Roy Choudhury and features a cast including Meiyang Chang, Priyanka Sarkar, Srijit Mukherji, Satyam Bhattacharya, Ayush Das, and Sushmita Roy. Vikram Chatterjee, who began his acting career in 2012, gained recognition for his roles in various films and TV shows such as Ichche Nodee and Phagun Bou.
