Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, accompanied by his wife, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, visited the Keli Kunj Ashram in Mathura to seek blessings from spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj. The couple arrived at the ashram early in the morning on Tuesday and spent nearly an hour participating in prayers and devotional activities.
In a video shared by the Ashram on their YouTube channel Bhajan Marg, Virat and Anushka were seen quietly sitting with a large crowd in the ashram hall, listening to Premanand Maharaj’s teachings and enjoying the Keertan. The visit coincided with their son Akaay’s recent birthday, adding a special touch to the occasion for the family.
This visit is not the first time the couple has sought spiritual guidance in Vrindavan. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have previously made several low-key trips to receive blessings from Premanand Maharaj. During their earlier interactions, the spiritual leader discussed life’s ultimate purpose and the path of devotion under a guru’s guidance.
The couple’s spiritual inclinations have been evident over the years. In 2023, they visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple and paid their respects at the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, among other religious sites. Looking ahead, Virat Kohli is set to return to the cricket field next month to represent Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where the team will defend their title for the first time, with all eyes on the stalwart player as they kick off the season. Virat will also feature in India’s ODI series in England starting on July 14, following his impressive performance in the recent ODI series against New Zealand.
