As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign in Chandigarh from June 15 to July 14, voter awareness activities took place at Tiranga Park in Sector 17 during International Yoga Day celebrations. The initiative aimed to motivate citizens to verify and update their electoral details and engage actively in the electoral process.

A helpdesk was available at the venue to assist with voter registration, electoral roll updates, and related procedures. Informational pamphlets explaining the objectives of the SIR campaign were distributed, and a signature campaign encouraged citizens to support timely verification and updating of electoral records.

To boost public engagement, a selfie point with SIR campaign awareness messages was set up, allowing participants to raise awareness through social media and personal networks. The activities garnered positive feedback from the public, serving as an effective platform for sharing information about the revision process.

Citizens were reminded to utilize the campaign period effectively until July 14 to verify and update their electoral information, contributing to the accuracy and inclusivity of the electoral roll. Booth level officers (BLOs) in Chandigarh have almost completed the distribution of enumeration forms by June 21 and will now collect the filled forms from electors.
