A wanted criminal, known as Rinku Kumar alias Rajinder alias Sunil, residing in Baljeet Nagar, Delhi, was apprehended by the Southern Range of the Crime Branch. He had been on the run after violating interim bail and avoiding capture for months. The arrest was made by a team led by Inspector Vijay Pal Dahiya, with the supervision of ACP V.K.P.S. Yadav.

The arrest took place following a raid near Nihal Vihar in West Delhi on March 23, based on specific intelligence. Rinku Kumar was previously involved in a robbery case in 2024, where he and his associates stole Rs 25 lakh in the DBG Road area. He was arrested and sent to judicial custody under various sections of the IPC and the Arms Act.

Rinku Kumar, a repeat offender, has a criminal record with at least 10 cases across different police stations in Delhi. His past crimes include kidnapping, snatching, robbery, dacoity, criminal intimidation, and violations of the Arms Act.
