The public movement “We The Leaders,” led by former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai, is set to organize its first major public conference in Pollachi. The event, themed “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu,” will kick off at 4 p.m. in Achipatti, near Pollachi, drawing participants from various parts of the state.

This conference marks a significant gathering under Annamalai’s leadership post his departure from the Bharatiya Janata Party to establish the “We The Leaders” movement. With meticulous planning, the organizers have readied the venue to accommodate approximately 20,000 attendees, ensuring an inclusive experience by setting up large LED screens outside the main hall for live viewing.

The conference venue is adorned with captivating visuals highlighting Pollachi’s iconic landmarks, such as the Aliyar Dam and the renowned coconut groves. These decorations aim to showcase Pollachi’s distinct cultural heritage, creating an appealing ambiance for the event.

Cultural performances conveying anti-drug messages will inaugurate the program, utilizing music, dance, and artistic presentations to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of narcotics. Annamalai is slated to deliver the keynote speech, outlining the mission of “We The Leaders” in fostering a drug-free Tamil Nadu through public education, community involvement, and ongoing social initiatives.

The conference is expected to draw a substantial crowd, marking a pivotal moment in the movement’s expansion throughout the state. Stringent security measures have been implemented to manage the anticipated turnout effectively, with traffic arrangements and volunteer teams in place to assist attendees arriving from various regions.
