The West Bengal unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has refuted claims made by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of circulating false information through the media about alleged internal surveys conducted by the BJP before the Assembly elections. The BJP stated on social media that they have not carried out any such internal survey and accused the TMC of spreading misinformation due to election-related concerns. The party emphasized that the current elections in West Bengal represent a direct confrontation between the state’s populace and the ruling Trinamool Congress government.

The BJP further asserted that the ongoing electoral battle in West Bengal is primarily between the common citizens of the state and the allegedly corrupt Trinamool Congress administration. The party expressed confidence in securing a decisive majority and forming the next government. Amit Malviya, the BJP’s Information Technology cell chief and central observer for West Bengal, endorsed this stance by sharing the message on his social media platform.

A state committee member of the BJP addressed the issue of media reports citing fictitious internal surveys attributed to the party and clarified the situation on Monday. The upcoming West Bengal assembly elections are scheduled in two phases on April 23 and April 29, with 152 and 142 assembly constituencies going to the polls in each phase, respectively. The election results are set to be announced on May 4.
