West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari criticized Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee for alleged irregularities at health camps in Diamond Harbour. Adhikari, without directly naming Banerjee, referred to him as the “mastermind nephew” during a legislative session. The state government plans separate investigations into the matter through the CID and health department.

Adhikari highlighted serious allegations against Banerjee, warning of legal repercussions if proven true. He mentioned the unauthorized presence of medical equipment and personnel at the camps. Adhikari emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating that legal actions would be taken against those involved.

The Chief Minister presented a doctor’s letter alleging corruption at the health camps and showcased photos of patients reportedly harmed by the treatments. No response from Banerjee or Trinamool Congress leaders was available at the time of reporting. Additionally, a new FIR was filed against Banerjee and his assistant in connection with the alleged scam.

Adhikari also addressed recent violence at a rally, promising strict action under a new anti-social activities law. The legislation aims to combat corruption and maintain public safety in West Bengal.
