West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited the family of BJP worker Prashant Dey, who was killed in political violence in Bagnan, Howrah district. Adhikari assured the family of justice and announced compensation. He has ordered the immediate arrest of the remaining 41 accused out of a total of 51 names in the FIR.
Adhikari has assigned the investigation of Prashant’s murder to the CID of West Bengal Police. He emphasized that all involved in the case would face consequences and instructed authorities to ensure the arrest of all accused. Adhikari also met with police officers and CID officials to discuss the case at the Bagnan police station.
The Chief Minister highlighted the severity of the attack, mentioning that some victims were still receiving treatment in a Kolkata hospital. Adhikari expressed his commitment to ensuring that every accused individual is apprehended and brought to justice. He announced additional financial support for the family and offered a job to Prashant’s elder daughter.
