West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is scheduled to speak in the Assembly on Saturday about the ongoing investigations into allegations concerning the Sebashray health camp in Diamond Harbour. The camp was operated by Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee during the previous government led by Mamata Banerjee.

During the extended budget session’s fifth day, BJP legislator Debangshu Panda accused the Sebashray health camp of causing serious medical harm to some patients due to incorrect treatment. He highlighted instances where patients lost limbs and alleged misdeeds in the name of treatment.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shankar Ghosh confirmed that the Chief Minister will address the matter on Saturday, the session’s final day. Additionally, the Treasury Bench will present the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India’s report on state exchequer income and expenditures.

The Sebashray health camp faces accusations of operating without government approval and engaging in illegal use of medical equipment, medicines, and machinery, including alleged use of radioactive substances. Complaints have also been raised by health workers and intern doctors who claim they were misled with promises of certificates and forced to work without proper documentation.
