A tragic incident unfolded in Muzaffarpur district as a woman, Mamta Kumari, and her three young children were discovered deceased near Chandwara Bridge by the Gandak River. Mamta and her children, Aditya Kumar, Ankush Kumar, and Kriti Kumari, had been missing for four days before the grim discovery.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, senior police officials, including the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), swiftly arrived at the scene to launch an investigation. Concerned family members, who had reported the disappearance on January 10, raised suspicions of foul play in the tragic deaths.
The family shared that Mamta, along with her children, had gone shopping at Zero Mile but never returned. Following unsuccessful search efforts, the family received threatening calls claiming responsibility for the abduction and warning against police involvement. Despite informing the authorities, the family alleges that police inaction may have contributed to the devastating outcome.
Local residents and family members have expressed distress over the situation, emphasizing the need for prompt police action to prevent such tragedies. Police officials have assured a thorough investigation, exploring all possible leads to identify and apprehend the perpetrators swiftly.
