The Women’s Hockey India League’s second season is scheduled to commence in Ranchi from December 28 to January 10, 2026. Building on the success of the inaugural season, this edition will feature top Indian players and international stars competing in a fast-paced tournament. The league will unfold at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, with four franchises vying for the championship.

Last season’s champions, Odisha Warriors, will defend their title against strong contenders like JSW Soorma Hockey Club, who narrowly missed victory in the previous season. The upcoming matches are anticipated to be fiercely competitive, with a mix of Indian talents and international players from renowned hockey nations participating. Ranchi Royals, Shrachi Bengal Tigers, and SG Pipers are also geared up to showcase their skills and vie for the prestigious trophy.

The tournament will kick off with a match between hosts Ranchi Royals and SG Pipers on December 28, 2025, promising 13 days of high-quality women’s hockey. This season aims to promote aggressive and skillful play, providing a platform for young Indian athletes to shine alongside global stars. The Women’s Hockey India League Season 2 aims to reinforce India’s position as a hub for elite hockey and inspire young girls to embrace the sport.
