Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with BJP MP Hema Malini, organized a women’s protest march to Rahul Gandhi’s residence. The protest aimed to condemn the failure of the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ in Lok Sabha. Protesters, carrying banners, accused the Congress of neglecting women by not passing the 33% reservation.
Hema Malini expressed disappointment, stating that the Opposition hindered the bill’s progress. She highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts towards women’s empowerment. Rekha Gupta criticized the Opposition for repeatedly blocking the women’s reservation bill, emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment.
The protest saw the participation of various political figures, including Minister of State Raksha Khadse and Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva. Chief Minister Gupta condemned the Opposition for defeating the women’s quota amendment bill, calling it a setback for women’s rights and dignity.
