A Workers’ Meet and Dahi-Chura feast took place at the BJP state office in Patna to mark Makar Sankranti under the party’s Kisan Morcha. The event, attended by BJP Bihar President Sanjay Saraogi, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, as well as senior leaders and numerous party workers, commenced with Saraogi lighting a ceremonial lamp.
Saraogi, in his address, emphasized the cultural significance of Makar Sankranti in India and praised the dedication and unity of party workers as the backbone of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He expressed optimism that the festival’s symbolism of the Sun’s northward journey would bring joy, prosperity, and positive vibes to the people of Bihar.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary highlighted the traditional importance of the Dahi-Chura feast during Makar Sankranti in Bihar’s folk culture. He stressed the value of consuming sattvic food during the festival and commended the Kisan Morcha for organizing the event.
