Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister late Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s wife, Y. S. Vijayalakshmi, has stated that there has been no formal division of family assets. She expressed concerns over her son, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, allegedly treating his sister, Y.S. Sharmila, and her children unfairly in asset distribution matters.
Vijayalakshmi, also known as Vijayamma, issued a notarized clarification amidst the ongoing dispute over family assets in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). She hopes for fairness from Jagan Mohan Reddy towards his sister and her children.
In response to allegations by YSR Congress Party leaders regarding a settlement on family assets, Vijayamma dismissed the claims as misleading and far from the truth. The legal dispute over the division of family assets involves former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister Sharmila, who leads the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh.
Vijayamma emphasized that all family properties held until 2009 are considered joint family assets. She clarified that even after YSR’s passing, these assets have not been divided.
