Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised India’s rich history and resilience at the Somnath Sankalp Mahotsav in Varanasi. He emphasized the importance of India’s spiritual tradition and cultural consciousness, highlighting its enduring spirit despite historical invasions. Adityanath mentioned how even though invaders like Aurangzeb targeted temples, India’s self-respect and cultural glory have prevailed.
The Chief Minister commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, attributing the progress towards ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ to his guidance. Adityanath expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister for his role in driving these initiatives forward. He also criticized certain unnamed opposition forces for hindering the restoration of cultural symbols like the Somnath Temple and the Shri Ram Temple.
During the event, Yogi Adityanath and Anandiben Patel visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer prayers for the state’s well-being. Female students welcomed the guests at the Tryambakeshwar Auditorium with traditional rituals, adding a cultural touch to the occasion.
