Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh jointly opened a cutting-edge electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Lucknow. The plant, completed in just 18 months, showcases the state’s rapid industrial progress under the dual governance model. During the inauguration, traditional rituals like planting ‘Sindoor’ and Rudraksha saplings were observed, blending heritage with advancement.

Congratulating the firm’s Chairman for their investment, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude for their trust in Uttar Pradesh’s administration. He emphasized the state’s new identity based on “Fearless Business,” “Ease of Doing Business,” and “Trust of Doing Business.” This project aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for sustainable industrial growth and environmental conservation.

Before 2017, Uttar Pradesh faced instability leading to investor retreats and an identity crisis. However, the current government has transformed the state into a land of opportunities. Uttar Pradesh now efficiently translates potential into tangible outcomes, evident in the successful completion of various projects.

The new plant, with an initial capacity of 2,500 units per year and plans to expand to 5,000 units gradually, will create numerous job opportunities for the state’s youth. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the plant’s role in promoting electric mobility to combat climate change. Investments are now diversifying across all 75 districts, leveraging Uttar Pradesh’s robust infrastructure and sector-specific policies.

The state has attracted investment proposals totaling Rs 45 lakh crore in recent years, with significant contributions to India’s GDP growth. Uttar Pradesh aims to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2029–30, supporting the national target of a $5 trillion economy by 2027. It has emerged as a global hub for electronics, IT, and various other sectors, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

Under the state’s FDI and Fortune 500 policy, the manufacturing firm’s plant is a testament to the state’s proactive measures in attracting foreign investments. Fast-track approvals and efficient governance have facilitated the establishment of world-class facilities like this electric vehicle plant. Uttar Pradesh’s strategic initiatives in areas like electric vehicles have positioned it as a key player in the market, benefiting from national schemes and policies.
