Young all-rounder Madhav Tiwari attributed his success with slower balls to the challenging wicket as Delhi Capitals limited Rajasthan Royals to 193/8 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Despite the Royals looking strong at 160/2 after 14 overs, the momentum changed after a brief pause for Riyan Parag’s medical attention, leading to a remarkable fightback by Delhi Capitals.
Tiwari, who shone in his debut against Punjab Kings, showcased his skills by dismissing key batsmen Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Shubham Dubey. He shared, “I came into this IPL season prepared with multiple variations that I have been working on consistently. The wicket conditions favored my slower balls, and I focused on executing them effectively.”
With clever variations, Lungi Ngidi played a crucial role in restricting Rajasthan Royals to 193/8, as they lost six wickets for just 33 runs in the last six overs. Tiwari, optimistic about Delhi Capitals’ chances, expressed confidence in their ability to chase down the target and end their home leg on a positive note.
