A dream realized in the streets of Ram Nagar, Arjun Rajput, a budding cricketer, has secured a spot in the Indian Under-19 team for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. Arjun, a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-spinner, is set to debut in the national colors on July 4, embarking on a journey marked by dedication and perseverance.
Hailing from a humble background, Arjun’s father, Hoti Ram, who earns a livelihood by making kulchas and working in a bakery, has been a pillar of support in his son’s cricketing pursuit despite financial constraints. Arjun expressed his joy and pride in representing his country, emphasizing the team’s determination to excel in the matches ahead.
Acknowledging the crucial role played by his family and mentors in his development, Arjun highlighted the unwavering support he received during challenging times. He credited his parents and coaches, including Vikram Sidhu and the Harbhajan Academy, for their instrumental guidance and motivation.

Following the limited-overs contests, the team will transition to red-ball cricket for two multi-day games, with Galle and Colombo hosting the concluding matches of the tour.
