A young girl, who had left her home without informing her family, was discovered in a distressed state at Anand Vihar Metro Station. Delhi Police, led by Head Constable Adarsh and Woman Constable Sunita, intervened promptly to ensure her safety. The girl, visibly upset and crying, was approached by the police team during a routine patrol at the metro station.
Officials stated that the police officers, with the guidance of Woman Constable Sunita, counseled the girl in a calm and reassuring manner. After gaining her trust through sustained efforts, the girl disclosed her identity and revealed that she had left home due to mental stress caused by academic pressure from her family. Her father, contacted by the police, confirmed that she had left without informing them and was on his way to Delhi.
Upon the father’s arrival, the family was briefed in the presence of the girl, and necessary formalities were completed. The girl, deemed to be in normal condition by her family, was handed over safely to her father. The incident underscored the Metro Unit Police’s swift response and compassionate handling of distressed individuals, ensuring the safe reunion of the girl with her family.
