A young woman who had left her home without informing her family was safely reunited with her relatives during a journey on the Gondwana Express. The incident occurred between Itarsi and Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi stations in the Bhopal Division.
Ticket-checking staff onboard the train were alerted by a co-passenger about the woman traveling alone. Deputy Chief Ticket Inspector Rajendra Bairwa and Senior Chief Commercial Ticket Examiner Vijay Manral verified her identity and contacted her family members. The family confirmed that she had left home without informing them.
Prompt action was taken by the officials who informed the railway control rooms and ensured the woman’s safety throughout the journey. She was supervised by railway staff and accommodated in the S-3 coach until reaching Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, where she was handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
The RPF completed the necessary formalities and successfully reunited the woman with her family.
