Attendees at the ‘Youth for Viksit Bharat – MY Bharat Youth Convention’ expressed admiration for the government’s initiatives to empower and engage young individuals in nation-building efforts. Organized by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the event at Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi is a gathering of thousands of young participants from across India, celebrating youth leadership, innovation, and national progress.
Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for youth empowerment, the convention aims to position the country’s youth as a pivotal force in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat @2047, as highlighted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. More than 6,000 young people from diverse backgrounds, including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators, and emerging leaders, are participating in the event, showcasing the diversity and aspirations of India’s youth.
Indian national record holder in the men’s 100 meters, Gurindervir Singh, described the occasion as a significant moment for athletes and young achievers, acknowledging the government’s support in sports development. Hockey player Rajendra Singh and cricketer Jitesh Sharma also lauded the event, expressing happiness for fellow athletes being honored and recognizing Prime Minister Modi’s encouragement and engagement with sports personalities.
Entrepreneur and boAt co-founder Aman Gupta emphasized India’s emergence as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, noting the increasing trend of talented individuals returning to India to contribute to its growth. Bihar BJP MLA Maithili Thakur highlighted the growing involvement of young people in public life and politics, crediting the Prime Minister for inspiring and empowering the youth to actively participate in shaping the nation’s future.
The convention serves as a platform for current achievers to engage with future leaders, fostering a collective commitment to public leadership, national development, and societal progress.
