Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged significant irregularities in the Mega District Selection Committee (DSC) exam and recruitment process. He called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry during a press conference, expressing shock at the revelations about the teacher recruitment process. Reddy criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s government for allegedly betraying the trust of numerous candidates through fraudulent activities, affecting the lives of deserving applicants.
Jagan Mohan Reddy emphasized the importance of the DSC in shaping the future of many young individuals and condemned the reported corruption and irregularities in the recruitment process. He criticized Naidu’s administration, stating that the recruitment process had never seen such disastrous flaws before. Reddy highlighted the need for transparency and fairness in the selection of candidates for the 16,000 available positions.
The YSR Congress Party leader accused the government of malpractice, claiming that the recruitment process was marred by leaks and corruption since 1995. He pointed out alleged irregularities in the question paper, recruitment procedures, and the handling of the examination process. Reddy stressed the necessity of an independent investigation to uncover the extent of the irregularities and ensure accountability in the recruitment process.
YS Jagan Reddy disclosed details of the alleged irregularities, including the sale of job positions and favoritism in recruitment under the sports quota. He criticized the government for bypassing standard procedures and undermining transparency in the recruitment process. Reddy called for highlighting these issues in an upcoming protest to mark two years of the TDP-led coalition government, emphasizing the need for justice and fairness in the recruitment of teachers in Andhra Pradesh.
