YSR Congress Party president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed outrage over the killing of a party activist in Palnadu district, allegedly by members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for promoting a culture of violence in politics.
Jagan accused Naidu of fostering an environment of lawlessness and questioned his ability to govern ethically. He highlighted the tragic death of Manda Salman, a Dalit party worker, who succumbed to injuries sustained in an attack by TDP workers after visiting his ailing wife.
The former Chief Minister condemned the alleged series of politically motivated violent incidents orchestrated by the ruling party to intimidate YSRCP members. He accused Naidu of disregarding democracy by using coercion and threats to suppress dissent in villages like Pinnelli.
Jagan pledged unwavering support to Salman’s family and criticized Naidu for failing to uphold law and order, instead endorsing a culture of violence for personal gain. He called out the Chief Minister for neglecting the safety of citizens and allowing a climate of fear to persist in the state.
