Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, labeling him a betrayer who prioritizes self-interest over public welfare. Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted alleged wrongdoings by Chandrababu Naidu, including corruption and financial mismanagement. He specifically mentioned discrepancies related to the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation (RLI) scheme, accusing the Chief Minister of favoring Telangana over Andhra Pradesh.
Jagan Mohan Reddy accused Chandrababu Naidu of hindering the RLI project, which aims to address water scarcity in Andhra Pradesh. He claimed that Chandrababu Naidu’s actions have led to neighboring Telangana benefiting unfairly from shared water resources. The YSRCP Chief also criticized the Chief Minister for alleged irregularities in infrastructure projects, accusing him of neglecting the state’s water needs.
The former Chief Minister further alleged that Chandrababu Naidu’s government engaged in corrupt practices, such as manipulating airport projects and misleading information on industrial development. Jagan Mohan Reddy asserted that various segments of society, including farmers, students, and employees, are dissatisfied with the current government’s performance. He highlighted issues such as rising power tariffs, increased fees, and widespread corruption under the TDP-led coalition government.
Defending his party’s stance on challenging the privatization of medical colleges, Jagan Mohan Reddy emphasized the importance of public opinion and accountability in governance. He criticized the financial management of the current administration, contrasting it with his party’s approach to welfare programs and financial transparency.
