Zaid Darbar has issued an apology to his wife, actress Gauahar Khan, for his reaction to actor Kushal Tandon’s comment on the show “Alliance.” In a video shared by Banijay Asia on Instagram, Zaid expressed regret for not taking Kushal’s words seriously and acknowledged his mistake.
During the show, Zaid was captured saying in Hindi that he had overlooked the inappropriateness of Kushal’s statement and admitted his fault. He emphasized that he never intended to harm anyone and sought understanding from Gauahar, stating, “You know me and the kind of person I am.”
The apology followed a revelation by wildcard entrant Vanshaj Singh to Zaid that Kushal’s remarks had led to severe criticism of Gauahar online. Gauahar responded to Zaid’s apology by advising him not to be influenced by deceptive tactics and to not take every joke to heart, showing her support for him.
In a previous incident in July, Kushal had made a disparaging remark about Gauahar, implying that she liked everything he possessed. Gauahar had defended Zaid at that time, emphasizing the importance of self-assurance and wise reactions rather than impulsive responses.
Zaid and Gauahar tied the knot in 2020 and are parents to two sons, Zehaan and Farwaan. Gauahar and Kushal had dated after appearing together on Bigg Boss 7 in 2013 but ended their relationship in 2014.
“Alliance” is an adaptation of a Dutch format by Talpa Studios, produced by Banijay Asia, featuring 16 contestants forming alliances while navigating shifting loyalties and strategic challenges for a coveted prize.
