Popular stand-up comedian Zakir Khan has announced he will be stepping away from comedy for an extended period, potentially lasting until 2030. The emotional revelation came during his recent live performance in Hyderabad as part of his ongoing Papa Yaar tour, with clips from the show quickly going viral across social media platforms.

Emotional Announcement During Hyderabad Show

On Tuesday, a video from Zakir’s Hyderabad performance began circulating online, showing the comedian addressing a packed auditorium about his decision to take a prolonged break. Speaking candidly to his audience, Zakir explained that the hiatus could extend for three to five years, possibly lasting until 2028, 2029, or even 2030, following the completion of his current tour commitments.

The comedian cited health concerns and personal matters as the primary reasons behind this significant decision. “It will be a break of three, four, or five years to take care of my health and to sort out a few other things,” Zakir told the audience, visibly emotional during the announcement.

Zakir emphasized the special connection he shares with his fans, telling the Hyderabad crowd, “Everyone present here tonight is very close to my heart. Your presence means more to me than you can imagine, and I will always be grateful to all of you. Thank you so much.”

Following the live announcement, Zakir took to Instagram to share additional details about his plans. He revealed that all scheduled shows until June 20 would serve as a celebration of his comedy journey. The comedian encouraged fans to attend the remaining performances, noting that he would not be touring extensively during this extended break.
