Veteran actress Zeenat Aman recently reminisced about her comeback to acting post the birth of her first son, Azaan, attributing it to her mother’s encouragement. Recalling her involvement in the 1988 film “Gawaahi,” Aman shared how she sought solace from personal struggles through work. The actress detailed her decision to join the cast of the low-budget courtroom drama amidst a challenging phase in her personal life.

Reflecting on her journey during the filming of “Gawaahi,” Zeenat Aman expressed a shift in her perspectives, transitioning from a desire to escape her professional life to reclaiming her individual identity beyond familial roles. With the unwavering support of her mother in caring for Azaan, Aman embraced the role of Janhvi Kaul in the movie. The actress highlighted the unconventional nature of the film, depicting Kaul as a pivotal character in a bold whodunnit narrative alongside acclaimed actors Shekhar Kapur and Ashutosh Gowarikar.

Upon revisiting the movie “Gawaahi,” Zeenat Aman acknowledged the film’s daring storyline revolving around Kaul, portrayed as the “other woman” and secretary to a prominent business figure. The actress praised the film’s unique narrative approach and the performances of her co-stars. Aman’s reflections shed light on the personal and professional challenges she navigated during that period.
