Zimbabwe will kick off their Super 8s campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026 against West Indies at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Monday. This match marks the fifth T20I encounter between the two teams, with West Indies holding a clear advantage, having won three out of the four matches played so far.
In their only previous T20 World Cup meeting in 2022, West Indies emerged victorious against Zimbabwe, scoring 153/7 while restricting Zimbabwe to 122 runs. Despite Zimbabwe’s last win against West Indies dating back to 2010, the current Zimbabwe team is considered one of their strongest in recent years, posing a formidable challenge.
Both Zimbabwe and West Indies are undefeated in the tournament and find themselves in a challenging Group A alongside India and South Africa. Only the top two teams from the group will advance to the semi-finals of the competition.
