Rio Raj and Vartika Jain headline this offbeat Tamil romantic comedy that blends matrimonial matchmaking chaos with a wild sci-fi twist. Directed by Ramachandrran Kannan and backed by Trident Arts and Eyes Entertainment, “Ram And Leela” mixes everyday relatable humour with an ambitious fantasy premise, making it a light-hearted watch for audiences who enjoy quirky, unconventional love stories with a generous dose of comedy.

“Ram And Leela” follows Ram, a man who has faced fifty matrimonial rejections, as he falls for the mysterious Leela on a local train, only to discover her family carries an extraordinary alien secret. The film leans into loud, high-energy comedy through its first half before settling into a more enjoyable rhythm once the story shifts to a lively village wedding setting. Rio Raj brings his signature energy to the role, Vartika Jain anchors the film with composed charm, and Munishkanth steals scenes with a delightfully committed comic performance. With colourful supporting turns from Chetan and Malavika Avinash, the film ultimately builds into a wholesome, laughter-filled entertainer that fans of quirky rom-coms will enjoy.
