Tokyo, Jan 9 (IANS) Japanese Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi announced on Friday that he will travel to the United States next week for a week-long visit to bolster the bilateral alliance in the face of an increasingly severe security environment in the Asia-Pacific region.
