Maharashtra Government Waives Registration Fees for Land Partition Deeds

Mumbai, April 20 (IANS) In a bid to provide significant relief to farmers and the general public, the Maharashtra government on Monday announced a total waiver of registration fees for the partition deeds of ancestral agricultural land. ​ The Revenue Department officially issued the circular regarding this exemption today.​The waiver now extends beyond cases handled by Tahsildars under Section 85 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.
