The 18th edition of the World 10K Bengaluru is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, with more than 35,000 participants expected to join both on-ground and virtual races. This event, known as #EndendiguBengaluru, signifies the city’s vibrant spirit and is a significant milestone. India’s premier 10K race has seen remarkable growth, with registrations for the Open 10K selling out in just seven days and other categories also oversubscribed.

The World Athletics Gold Label Race boasts a prize purse of USD 210,000 and will feature top athletes like Uganda’s Harbert Kibet, defending champion Sarah Chelangat, and event record holder Abhishek Pal from India. The race will be held in the picturesque backdrop of Bengaluru, with the presence of renowned personalities like Blanka Vlasic, the International Event Ambassador. Participants will receive a special passport at the Expo, serving as a personalized memento for their running journey.

The men’s race will be headlined by defending champion Abhishek Pal and other notable runners like Kiran Matre and National Marathon Champion Kartik Karkera. Among the elite women, defending champion Sanjivani Jadhav will compete against athletes like Lili Das, with a strong track record in road races. Indian hockey star Jarmanpreet Singh has launched the exclusive Finisher Tee to recognize the top finishers in various categories, emphasizing the connection between hockey and running.
