A 22-year-old named Mahavir Singh was abducted, brutally assaulted, and killed in Jaisalmer’s Khuhdi police station area. Singh and his companion were on a motorcycle when multiple vehicles collided with them near Asloi village. They were then taken in a Camper vehicle, with Singh being assaulted and later dumped near Soda village, where he was found critically injured and pronounced dead upon arrival at Jaisalmer District Hospital.
A CCTV video has emerged showing Singh being thrown from the vehicle, which is now part of the investigation. Bhopal Singh, who was with the victim, reported that after their motorcycle was hit by three Camper vehicles, they were forcibly taken away. Villagers who discovered Singh mentioned that he was conscious and in pain, identifying himself before being taken to the hospital.
Following the incident, a significant police presence was seen at the hospital, where the body was moved for a post-mortem. The victim’s family gathered, demanding swift action against the alleged 15 individuals involved in the murder. Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare visited the hospital, assuring that police teams are searching for the culprits, with checkpoints set up across the district. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend those responsible, with a case registered and investigations ongoing.
