In a tragic incident in Loni, Ghaziabad, a 22-year-old youth named Tasleem was brutally stabbed to death. Tasleem, a resident of Ashiyana City in Loni who worked at a salon, was allegedly lured out of his house by some youths and attacked near a shrine in Malik City. The victim’s family suspects an old rivalry as the motive behind the murder.
The victim’s father filed a complaint at the Loni Police Station stating that Tasleem was called out of his house by the accused around 9:30 p.m. The attackers reportedly assaulted and stabbed Tasleem multiple times near a shrine. Tasleem sustained over seven stab wounds and succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital, despite efforts to save him.
Following the incident, the victim’s family named four individuals in the complaint, accusing them of murder. The police have initiated an investigation, registered a case, and are currently conducting raids to apprehend the suspects. Loni Assistant Commissioner of Police, Siddharth Gautam, confirmed that an FIR has been lodged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and efforts are underway to arrest the accused.
The police have sent the victim’s body for a post-mortem examination and are exploring all possible angles in the investigation. The family’s claim that Tasleem’s brother had also been murdered in the past has raised suspicions of an underlying enmity, which the police are considering as part of their inquiry.
