A 23-year-old woman passed away in Rajasthan’s Banswara district after complications arose post-childbirth at a Community Health Centre. The family has accused the medical staff of neglect, claiming they ignored pleas for help as the woman struggled. She was transferred to MG Hospital, Banswara, but unfortunately, she did not survive the journey.
The incident took place at Gangadtalai Community Health Centre in the Anandpuri police station area after the woman gave birth to her first child late at night. Sarla, the woman in question, was admitted to the CHC after experiencing labor pains and delivered her child around midnight. However, her health deteriorated rapidly afterward.
Family members reported that Sarla’s blood pressure dropped significantly a few hours after delivery, leading to a critical condition. Allegations were made that the nursing staff on duty failed to respond promptly despite requests for assistance. The family believes that timely intervention could have saved Sarla’s life, expressing dissatisfaction with the medical care provided.
Sarla was being transported to MG Hospital in an ambulance when she passed away en route. Upon reaching the district hospital, doctors confirmed her death. The family of the deceased has demanded accountability and thorough investigation into the alleged negligence by the doctors and nursing staff at the health center.
